“Welcome to lancefarrelstevens.com and thanks for visiting. This site started out as a webshop for my first novel, Far From The Tree, but in the name of shameless self-promotion, I am now building it to be a showcase of my creative outpourings for anyone who is interested enough to want to read them.
As well as the first book, I will include episodes of the new novel, The Past Has Claws – the sequel to Far From The Tree, as they become available, for members only.
I have also included some poems and bits of prose I have written at different times. Some of it is romantic, some serious and some quite tongue in cheek and a bit of fun. I will add to it as and when I write more – or I rediscover bits I have written.

About Far From The Tree
Like many people I always wanted to write a novel but for a number of reasons; work, family, other commitments, I had never quite got around to it. I had the idea for this book in my head for over ten years and thought I had the beginning middle and end. It was writing a daily travel blog when I was on holiday which gave me the idea to send an episode a month to selected family, friends and associates - not wanting to let them down being my motivation. I didn’t quite make it but we got there in fifteen months. Around eighty people read the episodes and sent reviews back to me - overwhelmingly supportive. Without their support, I wouldn’t have finished. So, I am very grateful to them.
