NO WORDS

No words.

Just looks and smiles and arms

and legs and bodies entwined.

They held each other still and tight and now their breathing slowed

and their eyes closed and in that place, as the warmth of their union

washed over them,

not quite awake yet not asleep,

they found peace;

each and both.

She was no longer lost and at last,

he had been found.

Eventually their eyes opened.

Hers were deep dark pools,

his clear and grey.

Still no words.

They needed none.

She knew.

He knew.
